E3 2014 was another wild show that gives away some really cool stuff to the attendees. I am lucky enough to be able to attend the show and got some great swag that you can now have a chance to win.
Sorry it took nearly a week to get the rest of the photos up from last weeks E3 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
After a very busy day at E3 today there was tons of stuff to see and games to play. There are lots of photos that I have taken and so I will post the first batch today and the second batch hopefully on Monday if all goes well.
E3 has landed in Los Angeles and Pop Culture Maven will be at the show today taking photos and seeing the latest games and hardware that will be coming to consoles in the near future.
Last Saturday night (4/26) The Last Arcade on the Planet (See my review here) and Southern California Classic Collectors (SC3) joined forces to celebrate classic games for both the home systems and arcade games.
When people think of handheld gaming their first thought is Nintendo but while they do pretty much own the handheld gaming market it might not have happened if it wasn’t for a little company named Milton Bradley and the first handheld system with changeable cartridge games Microvision.
I am always on the lookout for arcades. There are so few around now that going to one is like taking a step back in time to when I visited local Los Angeles and Orange County arcades in the 1980’s and 1990’s before the implosion of the market in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s.
UPDATED: (4/30/14) I have been back to The Last Arcade on the Planet twice from when this original story was written and Juan has done a great job of fixing the minor issues that I had with some of the machines and he has added a few new games to the mix.
On the eve of the next generation of video game systems PS4 and XBox One, I find it ironic that you can talk to most video gamers and at some point you almost always start talking about playing games on older systems.
