There is a crazy amount of new books that hit the shelves this week so to get through as many as I can I will try to keep the reviews on the shorter side.

A huge week of new books and I will try to fit in as many as I can. Some of the reviews might be on the short side to speed things up.
Wonder Woman ’77 Special #2 DC Comics Writer Marc Andreyko, Artists Drew Johnson, Richard Ortiz, Cat Staggs, Jason Badower, Colorists Romulo Fajardo Jr., Brett Smith, Letterer Wes Abbott The second volume that collects the digital first stories based on the Lynda Carter Wonder Woman television series from 1977 brings three stories all written by Andreyko.
Secret Wars: Secret Love #1 Marvel Comics Writer/Artist Michel Fiffe, Writer/Artist Felipe Smith, Writer Jeremy Whitley, Artist Gurihiru, Writer Marguerite Bennett, Artist Kris Anka, Letterer Clayton Cowles Writer/Artist Katie Cook Most of the Secret Wars book have been very disappointing but there have been a few rare gems that have sneaked through and this week brings us Secret Love.
It’s a pretty light week of new book so there are a couple of catch-up books and my local comic shop did not get the Batgirl Annual this week so I will review it next week.
It’s been very difficult to get these reviews up on the site and I thank you for bearing with me. First there was SDCC where there was no chance that any reviews were going up that week and then last week I came down with the dreaded Con Crud that took me down for the count.
There are a few things that I want to go over before the reviews this week. First because of my vacation last week I will try to hit books from both this and last weeks releases.
Being that it’s the Halloween month of October there are a lot of new horror titles hitting the shelves this month and I love a good horror comic.
Only two more days until San Diego Comic Con 2014 kicks off with preview night on Wednesday and it looks to be one of the biggest ones yet.
There are so many panels going on at San Diego Comic Con that it’s sometimes hard to figure out which ones to go to.
