A nice light week of new comic books hit the stands and only a few new #1 issues with some returning series to the review pile.
This is one of the few weeks in recent history of these reviews that there were few #1 comics this week so it will allow for more reviews of current releases instead of just new books and that is a very welcomed sight.
This was a smaller week than ususal so I will cover the comics from this week and a few that didn’t make it last week reviews.
It seems as if both the comic world press and now the mainstream media has picked up on the sales and gloom and doom that supposedly a crisis at DC Comics.
With this weeks new comics being a slightly smaller week than usual I will try to play catchup with some of last weeks releases that I was unable to get to.
Yvonne Craig who will forever be remembered as Batgirl from the 1966 Batman television series passed away last night at the age of 78.
Batgirl Annual #3 DC Comics Writers Cameron Stewart & Brenden Fletcher, Artists Bengal/David Lafuente/Ming Doyle/Mingjue Helen Chen, Colorists Bengal/Gabe Eltaeb/Ivan Plascencia/Mingjue Helen Chen, Letterer Steve Wands This book was not shipped to my local comic shop last week so I’m catching up with it this week.
It’s a pretty light week of new book so there are a couple of catch-up books and my local comic shop did not get the Batgirl Annual this week so I will review it next week.
When it comes to kids and especially girls both Marvel and DC Comics has done a really poor job of getting kids to read comic books.
