New Comic Book Reviews Week Of 9/21/16
Quite a few new series hit the shelves this week including even more new DC Rebirth titles. We also have a few returning books that hit the review stack this week so let’s get going, shall we.

Lots of books this week with a surprisingly strong showing from Marvel Comics. So let’s get to this. Renato Jones The One % #1 Image Comics Writer/Artist/Colorist Kaare Kyle Andrews, Letterer Jeff Powell Renato Jones is a title that on the surface has an odd visual style at first glance but once you start to reading the book you soon discover that it quite smart and snappy.
Twilight Children #4 Vertigo Comics Writer Gilbert Hernandez, Artist & Letterer Darwyn Cooke, Colorist Dave Stewart The final chapter of this wonderful mini series comes to a somewhat somber conclusion that is going to divide a lot of readers on this.
It’s been very difficult to get these reviews up on the site and I thank you for bearing with me. First there was SDCC where there was no chance that any reviews were going up that week and then last week I came down with the dreaded Con Crud that took me down for the count.
So this was a very welcomed quiet week with new comics. So there are only a few books to review this week.
Dang it seems as if each weeks new comics are getting bigger and harder for me to review so many titles now.
This week brings both old and new comics back to the review pile. So let’s get going shall we? The Kitchen #3 Vertigo Comics Writer Ollie Masters, Artist Ming Doyle, Colorist Jordie Bellaire, Letterer Clem Robins Vertigo has put out some really solid books lately and The Kitchen continues to impress.
Sorry about not posting on Wednesday. I was a bit under the weather Tuesday night so got some well deserved rest and so everything should be back on track now.
Only two more days until San Diego Comic Con 2014 kicks off with preview night on Wednesday and it looks to be one of the biggest ones yet.
So this week there are four number 1 issues that hit your local comic book store. So lets see if any of them are worth keeping on your pull list for the future.
