Before I get to the WonderCon screening of The Giant’s Dream there is a bit of history and personal story that goes with my love of the Iron Giant.
One of the WonderCon panels that I was very excited to go to was the DC Comics new Hanna-Barbera line of comics that starts in May 2016.
With WonderCon coming to Los Angeles this weekend there is a lot to see and do at the show. There will be a ton of panels and surprisingly the Hollywood influence is pretty lean this year and seems to be a bigger focus on comics this time around.
One of the things that I love most about WonderCon in Anaheim is the fantastic artist alley that they have. This is the third year that WonderCon has been in Anaheim and each year it seems that there are more talent that the show draws.
One of the highlights of WonderCon was the great Scott Shaw! Oddball Comics panel. Scott is one of the most talented guys around.
Over the weekend in San Francisco the Alternative Press Expo (APE) was held at Fort Mason Center and the big news out of the show was something that was really surprising.
One of the dirty little secret of “comic conventions” bubbled to the surface on the internet over the past few days fueled by a story by Denise Dorman the wife of Dave Dorman who is probably best known for his Star Wars covers at Dark Horse Comics.
Scott Denbier took the stage Saturday evening to show us all of the new IDW Artist Editions that are going to kill our wallets soon and in the future.
Today was the last day of WonderCon Anaheim and I spent most of the day in artist alley that I had not had a chance to see on Friday or Saturday.
